Understanding Why Gangbob KYC Rejections Happen
When you sign up at Gangbob and try to withdraw your winnings, the verification process can sometimes hit a wall. The KYC (Know Your Customer) procedure is a mandatory step for all licensed operators, and while it usually takes 24 to 72 hours, rejections are more common than you might think. In most cases, the issue is not with the casino itself but with the documents you submitted. The system at Gangbob casino cross-checks every detail against the information you provided during registration. If your name, address, or date of birth doesn’t match perfectly across all documents, the automated checker flags it immediately. This guide walks you through the exact reasons behind a rejected application and, more importantly, how to fix each one without having to contact support more than once.
Document Checklist: What Gangbob Actually Requires
Before you even begin the upload process, gather the correct files. Gangbob requires three primary documents for standard account verification: a government-issued photo ID (passport or driver’s licence), a proof of address (utility bill or bank statement dated within the last 90 days), and a proof of payment method (a screenshot of your e-wallet account page or the first 6 and last 4 digits of your card). The most frequent rejection reason is an unclear photo — blurry images, glare from a camera flash, or cropped edges on a passport. Take a photo in natural daylight, avoid covering any corners, and make sure the entire document fits within the frame. For the proof of address, the document must clearly show your full name and residential address exactly as typed in your Gangbob profile. If you recently moved, update your casino profile first, then submit the new utility bill.
Common Rejection Triggers and Their Immediate Fixes
Here is a breakdown of the typical mistakes players make, followed by the precise correction:
- Name mismatch: Your ID shows a middle name, but your casino profile omits it. Fix: Edit your profile to include your full legal name exactly as on the ID, then re-submit the same document.
- Expired documents: Gangbob rejects expired passports and driver’s licences without exception. Fix: Upload a current, unexpired ID. If your licence is being renewed, use your passport instead.
- Address inconsistency: The utility bill is in your maiden name, but your profile uses your married name. Fix: Upload a marriage certificate along with the bill, or change the utility bill to a bank statement under your current name.
- Payment method verification: For deposits made via skrill or neteller, the e-wallet screenshot must show your full name and the account number. Fix: Log into your e-wallet, go to “Account Details,” screenshot the page, and blur only the transaction history — never the name or account number.
- File format issues: Uploaded files must be JPG, PNG, or PDF, and each file cannot exceed 8 MB. Fix: Convert any HEIC or BMP files to JPG before uploading.
Step-by-Step Re-Upload Walkthrough
Once your rejection email arrives, you do not need to start from scratch. Log into your Gangbob account, navigate to the “Verification” tab in the dashboard, and click “Edit Documents.” Here is the practical sequence: first, correct your personal data in the “Account Settings” if any mismatch was listed in the rejection reason. Second, re-upload the corrected document in the required category. Third, wait for the re-review — this typically takes between 12 and 48 hours, much faster than the initial check. If you used a Gangbob bonus during your deposit cycle, the system may put a temporary hold on your withdrawal until verification clears, but this does not block the re-upload process itself.
Standard Vs. Enhanced Verification Timelines
Not every player faces the same level of scrutiny. Below is a table showing when you can expect clearance and what triggers the deeper check.
| Verification Type | Trigger Events | Time to Approval | Extra Documentation |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard KYC | First withdrawal request under €2,000 | 24–72 hours | ID, proof of address, payment method proof |
| Enhanced KYC | Lifetime deposits over €10,000 or suspected fraud pattern | 3–7 business days | Bank statement for last 3 months, source of wealth form, selfie holding ID |
| Payment Method Hold | Deposit made via a card not registered in your name | Hold until resolved | Front/back of card (only first 6 / last 4 digits visible) |
Final Checks Before You Resubmit
The single most effective way to avoid a second rejection is to do a self-audit before pressing submit. Open your original registration email and copy your first name, last name, and date of birth verbatim. Compare these against your ID and your utility bill. Then, verify that the file names of your uploads do not contain special characters — rename them to something simple like “passport_2024.jpg”. Also, ensure that every document is a colour scan, not a photocopy or screenshot of a digital file. If you previously used a Gangbob promo code to claim a no deposit reward, remember that wagering requirements must be met before withdrawal, but this does not affect KYC status. After a successful verification, your payout will be processed to the same method used for deposits, so keep that e-wallet or card active. If you have already gone through two rejections, the next step is to contact live chat and ask for a manual review — but only after correcting the specific reasons listed in both rejection emails. The support team at Gangbob is responsive, and a well-prepared resubmission usually clears within a day.
